Old Fashioned Cocktail

Throughout the entirety of its existence, which has lasted over two centuries, the Old Fashioned is a cocktail that has had many adjectives describe it, but nothing quite captures it all better than the word ‘Classic’. It is the whiskey cocktail that ignited a revolution of sorts, allowing bartenders and whisky enthusiasts to devise new ways of consuming the world’s favourite spirit with fascinating new applications. The three most important components of a great cocktail are simplicity, great taste and its respect for the base spirit; all three being absolutely nailed by the Old Fashioned. It is one of the few cocktail recipes that involve just four ingredients, and takes less than 5 minutes to whip up. The sugar, bitters and Bourbon produce a sublime drink, complementing the Bourbon, elevating its taste without overpowering it in any manner. A truly timeless concoction, The Old Fashioned is a Bourbon whiskey cocktail that you must sip on at least once in your lifetime, allowing it the soothing refreshment at the end of an exhausting day, or simply an unexplained treat to yourself.
